Ticket to the HeartIt was the darkest day.  The day we set our sights on each other  Waves rocked the boat, with it we sway  Teeth and claws, all extended, hate its tether  Happiness was a far cry with no sound and no say.   
But, but, what is the light approaching us?  It can't be our salvation,  Darkness was my mistress,  I answered to no other.  Yet, the light kept a-coming,  A ray of sunlight in the storm of my mind.

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

I'm getting old and I need something to rely on

I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me?
